Beach Day!

Hello World! Sorry It's been so long! My mommy has been so busy with school and now that its summer, she works full time at a summer camp. So our adventures have been on hold for a while. But last weekend she surprised me with a trip to the Fort Funston Doggy Beach in San Francisco! It was so fun walking around without my leash!

Even though it was a bit chilly, it was fun running around with my new friends and my old friend Bella. The ocean was a bit scary and the water was soooo cold but it was fun seeing all types of dogs and owners. My mommy says we'll go again soon! Until our next adventure...

The collar of shame.

Hello world! Its been quite a while. Since the last time I've written, Mommy and I have returned to California, my mommy went back to school for the semester, and today I just got home from getting spayed. I'm a little out of it but I'm just happy to be back in my own bed.

Sad puppy

In a few hours Mommy and I are going to get on a plane headed back home to California. I'm excited to see all my friends back home, but I'm really going to miss my Grandparents and fellow mini dachshund Penny! We had such a great Christmas Holiday together!

Vacation

Hello world! Time is flying by so quickly, and soon enough Mommy and I will return to California. I'll miss this big house! Its so fun exploring each room. I'll miss the fun walks around the neighborhood too!

Look at those trees! The speckles look like leaves but they're birds! We even got to see cranes in the small lakes around my grand-human's house.

This pictures is of my mommy's pet-sister Penny. Sometimes they let her jump on the chair and finish their food. I want to try, but my mommy always tells me "no". Sometimes she can be really unfair!

But she did let me eat one of these yummy cupcakes. The humans took us to "Playful Pups" and bought us a huge container of doggy deserts! They keep hiding the box of goodies but one day I'll find them.

Happy Sunday!

Today, the family and I went on a long drive to Solomons Island. My grand-mama works there sometimes. It was "burrrr" cold and windy out today. I almost blew away! I really enjoyed riding in the big truck. Its much more roomy than my mommy's car.

To get to Solomons Island we had to cross a really scary bridge and my mommy has a terrible fear of deep water, so she wasn't too happy. Look how cool it looks! But she really didn't like the fact that there were no barriers on the sides of the bridge.

When we got there we took a stroll around and found a beach! It was too cold to go swimming but it was still nice to sniff around.

On our way home we stopped by Bruster's. Its a drive through ice-cream shop! I've never seen one of those in California. My mommy wouldn't let me have any ice cream but she did let me eat some of the waffle cone. It was yummy!

All of these adventures makes me a tired puppy but its hard to not get tired when you're only 5 months old. Goodnight world! See you soon :)

Woof!

Hello World! Since my Mommy and I are visiting my grand-humans in Maryland, we've been taking long walks around the neighborhood. The sites and sounds are mighty different here than back home in California! Isn't it pretty here?! Hopefully I can convince Mommy to come back for the summer.

My fellow fido in the picture, is Penelope. Penny for short. She lives here with my grand-humans. Since her name is Penny the humans call her Pen-not and since my name is Effy the humans call me Eh-pot. They're funny names but we like them :)

Hello World!

Hello world! My name is Effy, the 5 month old miniature dachshund! The human in my picture is my mommy Rexene. We found each other this past October, and we've been together ever since. We live in California but recently Mommy took me with her to Maryland to visit my Grand-humans (her parents) for Christmas and New Year. Maryland is very different from California! I hope you guys stick around, I'll be updating this blog very soon with more pictures of Effy's Adventures!
